Vintage Notes
The 2018 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir enjoyed an extended season with many warm dry days. The extra hang time developed a complex palate of deep ruby color and bold ripe flavor.
Harvest
The chardonnay was harvested on the mornings of October 4th and October 7th. Grapes clusters were average size with a deep dark purple color.
Branded DIAM 10 Cork
Our premium cork technology facilitates the aging process for delicate wines like our pinot noir. The branding elevates the presentation when serving.
Aging and Bottling
After the clarification and final racking, we aged our 2018 Pinot Noir in 25% new oak barrels a full 20 months. This exposure to limited new oak softens the wine without overpowering the natural flavors.
Antique Dark Green Glass
We upgraded our 2018 glass selection to a darker antique green glass to help protect the wine from light. Darker glass supports proper aging, even without a wine cellar.
Clarification
A racking and clarification process takes place prior to passing through a final micron filter. The result is a smooth, dark, ruby red wine free from sediment.
